[Read] Upgrading vBulletin...

Not that any of you guys will know, but the site runs off of vBulletin.. They've released a newer version (3.6.x)... If you look in the lower right hand corner, you'll see we're running 3.5.4.. The newer 3.6 is still in beta stage.. once it goes gold (out of beta), I'll upgrade the site.

When you upgrade a site, some addons(aka hacks) wont be work with 3.6 as there made for 3.5.x.. I can't say that for all the add-ons, some will work, and some will need to be made to work with 3.6.x, it's a toss up.. But anyyyyyyway.. My point for this post is.. Once 3.6.x goes gold, I'll consider upgrading.. so we might lose a few add-ons, I'll probably wait until the add-ons are 3.6.x capable

Once I do start the upgrade, it could take a good few days to do everything. I'll have to redo some of the add-ons after the upgrade.. so it could take a few hours, or it could take 4 days, I don't know.

I just wanted to pre-warn you guys.. I don't think it'll go gold for atleast a few months, I really have no clue.. But I'll give atleast 24 hours notice, as I'll have to disable the site so I can upgrade...

Anyway, hope you guys understand it.. If not, don't worry.. just nod your head and say yes, sounds good.

I forgot to add.. I'm not going to add anymore 'big' add-ons until the site is upgraded.. no sense having to do it twice

hey owner wait a week or 2, b/c by then school will be out and my friends and i wont be on, well, i wont have to work all summer, and wont be on, please....ill only be on today, tomorrow, and possibly wed...please....
