I can't believe how lenient that punishment is. It is quite obvious that this woman is sick and she should not only be undergoing psychiatric treatment, but should be placed in an institution while she does so. "Poor decisions" doesn't begin to describe what she has done... how do we know that next time, it won't be a person that she kills?
