Why is the sky blue?

Well, they say the sky is blue because little particles fly through the air and pass through light and causes a field around our earth (gravitation). The reason it's blue may be because of all the water on our earth. Earth is made up of 98% water, that's a lot of reflection it can give off into the sky. That's why outerspace isn't blue, our gravity keeps the colour in a circle around Earth. It's possible to that the government is spreading a blue substance like particle in the sky to control us and keep us peaceful. Light blue is a friendly colour. It's possible if the sky was red, there would be a lot more violence in our world? The last couple sentences may have went too far... or did it? It is a Kris theory.
