Feeding?

Ok I tried the faqs first, but I found nothing, I even did a search for it, but I found nothing. I bought my pet some food, a cake cause he's just a little baby, and fed him, but his hungry bar didn't go up at all?

Am I feeding him right? I clicked on "Use Item". It just raised his morals. But it said when I bought it:

Hunger: -65
Moral: -15

Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I overlooked something in the faqs.

You red your pet correct.

You want the hunger bar low.. lower means he's full.. so if it's at 0%, then he's full
